CronniX

CronniX is an Aqua front-end to the powerful Unix tool “cron”. Cron is a Unix system service that allows scheduled execution of scripts, programs, applications – in short anything that can be started from the command line. This includes OSX applications and AppleScripts.

The Lirko.Online server used to run on OS X 10.11 (El Capitan) and for a while it was good, but over time I experienced more issues and performance hits. This coupled along with the buggy OS X Server App 5 left me little choice but to roll back to the better OS of Mavericks and it associated server app version.

Ah yes…..Time Machine…why did you not backup my MySQL databases? WHY? 🙁

I use CronniX to schedule hourly backups of the databases on the server so I don’t have to go through the another issue like this. I highly recommend it
